CAMP LOCATION

Cedar Canyon Camp is nestled in the Black Hills of South Dakota with convenient access to Rapid City and its surrounding attractions and activities. The camp has plenty of recreation and beautiful gathering spots onsite and the location has worked very well for us. There is nearby hiking and ample space to enjoy a campfire, talk over a good meal or cup of coffee, play gaga ball, volleyball or frisbee golf. We work with the camp to offer this event at an affordable price so that it will be accessible to as many families as possible.

THINGS TO CONSIDER

Ranch Hand Relay: This is our ice-breaker event on Thursday afternoon, and it is a lot of fun for participants and spectators alike! Teams consist of 5 ranchers, one from each of the following age groups: 1-4 / 5-9 / 10-13 / 14-17 / 18+. The teams compete in a timed relay consisting of a variety of ranch chores – no live animals involved! You can sign up for the ranch hand relay at the bottom of the online registration form. Let us know if you want to be on a team but are missing team members for some of the age groups. We can usually find team members for you. If you wish to be added to a team, let us know that also. We’ll do our best!

General Store: This will be open immediately before and after main meetings. If you have items you would like to sell, please sign up when registering. There is no booth fee, and a table will be provided.

Paid Activities: These optional activities are administered by the camp staff and include the zip line, paintball, climbing wall, and high ropes. You can sign up at the camp, and details of when these activities run will be announced.

Other Activities: There will be young adult hikes, hymn singing, volleyball, gaga ball, social activities, an evangelism outing, family friendly square dance, games, and more! Different families and individuals are happy to organize activities, and there will be something for everyone. If you have a great idea, let us know and we will consider it.
